Biography
Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Orchestra Stabile del Molise "Erennio Gammieri" since 2013; consultant Artistic and Musical of Fondazione Molise Cultura since 2015.
Always conducting his business is targeted primarily at the lyric repertoire, he has to his credit a large repertoire (more than 30 titles), including the most produced: Nabucco, Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Aida, La Boheme, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, L'Elisir d'amore, Don Pasquale, Norma, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci.
He has toured in Bulgaria, France, Spain, China, Japan, and has directed and directed at institutions and foreign Italian Opera and Symphony: Orchestra Regionale del Molise , Genoa Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica "U. Giordano" of the Province of Foggia, Orchestra Sinfonica "Serenissima" in Treviso, Orchestra Sinfonica "Nova Amadeus" in Rome, Orchestra Sinfonica "City of Grosseto" and Teatro Lirico di Grosseto, Livorno Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Regionale del Lazio, Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Bari.
He directs the New Year's Concerts 2012 and 2013 organized by the Presidency of the Region of Molise Molise and the Foundation Culture.
In April 2011, holds a symphonic concert with the Orchestra of the Province of Bari with great success and appreciation by the Foundation and all the Professors of the orchestra.
From 2006 he's Artistic Director and Music Director of the Opera Festival "Il Molise all’Opera".
Directs the sixth edition of the Festival, with great lyrical-symphonic concerts organized on the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of Italian Unification, and has enjoyed a great success with critics and audiences.
In the fifth edition in 2010 gets unanimous approval from critics and audiences with the direction of the opera "Il Barbiere di Siviglia” by Gioacchino Rossini, in the fourth edition of 2009 brings to the stage "Cavalleria Rusticana" by Pietro Mascagni in a grandiose original layout and unprecedented, with the publication of the DVD on co-production with Casa Musicale Sonzogno.
In the third edition directs the staging of "The Magic Flute" by WA Mozart and "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi in collaboration with the Tuscia Opera Festival, the Orchestra Regionale del Lazio and the participation of Blacks Marcorè and Moni Ovadia.
In the second edition of 2007 directs the opera "Tosca" by G. Puccini, while in the first edition, which took place throughout the month of August of 2006, brings to the stage the opera "La Boheme" by G. Puccini.
In February 2005 he has worked as musical director for important recordings, such as the "Third Symphony" Gorecki and "Stabat Mater" by Pergolesi published respectively by Curci and Tactus and subsequently held a tour in Italy with the Orchestra "City of Grosseto" Arena di Verona and soloists with a show with the same lyrical and is invited by the Municipality of Rome to direct at the Botanical Garden of Rome, an event coordinated by Guia Farinelli Mascagni, grandson of the famous opera composer Pietro Mascagni.
In June 2004 he led Aida, La Traviata, Nabucco and Butterfly at the State Opera and the Philharmonic Plovdiv (Bulgaria).
In 2003, former Artistic Director of the Festival Molisano "Lyric outdoors", is guest conductor of the Festival "LIRICAINPIAZZA" Oderzo (TV) organized by ODER ACT II in collaboration with the Theatre of Maribor (Slovenia), where he directs "Rigoletto" G. Verdi.
In December 2002 he was entrusted with the re-opening of the opera at the Teatro Savoia in Campobasso, after a long closure for renovation.
In 2001, in Genoa at events held by the G8, is appointed director of "La Bohème" by G. Puccini, enjoying success with critics and audiences.
He is regularly invited to give seminars and choral conducting, orchestral conducting, music theory and analysis, at the same time is commissioner of juries and artistic commissions of national and international competitions, including the International Competition "Patanè - Cappuccilli - Respighi" Singing, Composition and Conductor organized by the National Confartigianato (2006, 2007, 2008) and the International Competition for Opera Singers "Luciano Neroni" organized by the Municipality of Ripatransone (AP).
S T U D I ES
He began his musical studies at a very young age of 6 studying piano and later composition with different masters such as Antonio Iafigliola, Dario Lucantoni. He graduated in Composition and Choral Music and Choir respectively at the "Lorenzo Perosi" in Campobasso and the Conservatory "Niccolò Piccinni" in Bari, under the guidance of Maestro Piero Niro.
It has the honor of being the first diploma in orchestral conducting at the Conservatory of Molise , under the guidance of Maestro Michael Summers, and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Music Disciplines - Directorate Conductor with the highest grades and honors from the Conservatory "L. Refice" of Frosinone.
He made his debut as a conductor at age 22 at the Savoy Theatre of Campobasso in a concert of music by Bartok ensemble.
She attends the same time numerous courses in Conducting, Choir Conducting and Composition with renowned masters in Italy and abroad, including Piergiorgio Righele Franca Floris, Guido Milanese, Walter Marzilli, Scattolin Pier Paolo Franco Donatoni, Piero Bellugi, Donato Renzetti, just with the latter is distinguished by attending, respectively, at the Accademia Musicale "Vanitas Vanitatum" at the Academy of Naples and Pescara , the course of Advanced Conducting. On the occasion of the celebration of "The Premio Valentino Bucchi 20 years later", organized by the Conservatory of Music "Lorenzo Perosi" in May '97, he was given the job of transcribing "Sheets Album" of the same Bucchi published by the "Fondazione Valentino Bucchi" production in '97/'98.
He is Professor at the Conservatory of Music "Lorenzo Perosi" in Campobasso since 2004.
